Terms and conditions
Service
WakeCall schedules and places telephone reminders (wake-up calls, medication reminders and others) to Belgian mobile and landline numbers. The service is operated by ROSLAB AB, Sweden.
Account and credits
Subscriptions and credit packs require an account. You sign in through a link we email you; there is no password. A single reminder can also be booked without an account and paid by card.
Each scheduled reminder uses 1 credit, however many call attempts it takes. The credit is deducted when you book. If you cancel a reminder in time, it is returned to you.
Free trial
New accounts receive 3 free credits after confirming their email address – once per email address and once per phone number. We may limit the number of free credits granted per day.
Purchased credits
Credit packs and individually paid reminders are valid for 12 months from your last top-up; every top-up renews the period for all purchased credits. Unused credits expire after that.
Monthly plans
A monthly plan is charged monthly in advance through our payment provider Stripe and renews automatically. Each month we add credits to your account: 30 on the Light plan, 120 on the Regular plan. Unused plan credits carry over to the next month, up to a maximum of 120 (Light) or 360 (Regular).
You can cancel at any time. The plan stays active until the end of the paid period; there is no pro-rata refund. Reminders already scheduled still go ahead. Unused plan credits are saved after the plan ends, but only become usable again if you resubscribe.
If a payment fails, we let you know by email and Stripe retries the charge over the following days. If it is not paid, the plan ends.
Prices
All prices are in euros (EUR). The price shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase applies.
Cancellation and calls
A reminder can be changed or cancelled online up to 1 minute before the scheduled call. A call that has started counts as placed – even if nobody answers, the line is busy or voicemail picks up. Its credit is not refunded.
Right of withdrawal
As a consumer you have, in principle, a 14-day right of withdrawal (Code of Economic Law, Book VI). By booking a reminder or using credits you expressly request that the service be performed within that period and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once a call has been placed. Unused credits from a credit pack are refunded within 14 days of purchase on an email to info@roslab.com.
Fair use
Only book calls to numbers whose owner has agreed to receive them. Calls to third parties without their consent lead to the account being blocked.
Availability
We aim for reliable delivery but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. For any call that could not be delivered, the outcome is shown in your account and you receive an email.
Liability
WakeCall is not a replacement for medical or safety-critical systems. Do not rely on it as the sole reminder for life-critical needs.
We do not guarantee that a call is delivered. Whether it arrives depends on circumstances outside our control: telephone networks, a phone that is switched off or silenced, blocked or unknown numbers, a busy line. Even where the failure lies in our own system, we are not liable for costs, losses or damages arising from a missed or late call – a missed appointment, a missed dose or a missed flight, for example. Our only remedy in that case is the refund of the credit concerned.
In every case, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the event. These limitations apply as far as the law allows; liability for intent and gross negligence is unaffected.
Governing law
Swedish law applies. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country you live in remain unaffected.
